Ella

Lovely, lovely Ella. what’s not to like. Beautiful scenery, lovely people and amazing food. We stayed at Hillcrest Ella and it’s been such a great place to stay. The view from our balcony is stunning. The food is some of the best we’ve eaten here and the host is super friendly and helpful.

We went to the Nine Arches bridge on the first day and then cruised around the shops and eateries.

Sean handling the driveway like a champion.

On our second day we did the Little Adams Peak hike, with more freaking stairs (the stairs in Lanka are next level) and then went to the waterfalls. There’s loads to do up at Little Adams Peak, like zip lining, a climbing wall, quad biking, and just hanging about in the bar and pool. It did feel a bit cringy with the amount of cash being splashed around there when the average Sri Lankan working there would be taking home a pittance. I hope that at least some of the money is staying in Lanka and helping their economy.

If you can’t see it I won’t explain it to you 😳

We also went did some sightseeing in the Tuktuk to a water fall. I forgot to pack my swimmers so it was just a quick visit.
